Empowering and Healing Veterans

“The health and well-being of service members and their families is a priority. Strong relationships are important to our readiness.” Lt. Cmdr. Nate Christensen, a Pentagon spokesman, 2015.

The Team at Operation Military Family is committed to helping you get back on Mission and Purpose. We’ll help you establish your ACTION PLAN and SUPPORT NETWORK through effective programs.

REBOOT: Combat Recovery is a no-cost program to help combat veterans and their families heal from the moral or spiritual wounds of war.
Specifically, our 12-week combat trauma healing course provides a unique blend of clinical insight with faith-based support for combat veterans and their loved ones seeking answers to defining questions about life, death, meaning, and purpose.
Our greatest value is offering education, affirmation, and support in an environment of trust. REBOOT “communities” are safe, private, and mostly veteran-led. Childcare and a pre-discussion meal are provided on a weekly basis to remove barriers of entry for families seeking help.
We encourage the participation of spouses and affected family members because we know that trauma impacts the entire family.
VETERANS IN PREVENTION (VIP) is traditionally a grant-funded or community sponsored program – providing veterans with a new sense of community purpose (and stipend) while providing local first responders with a locally known, qualified and trained rapid response team.
VIP teams veterans in a community with their local fire district to aid your community in assisting, responding to, and educating the community in fall prevention, safety, and local hazards.
The participants will also aid aging veterans and community members in getting connected to resources.
Piloted in Snohomish Country and known as the Verdant for Veterans Program, this program has garnered statewide and national attention as it focuses on 5 Components:  ADVOCACY, EDUCATION, EMPOWERMENT, PREVENTION, AND ACCESS TO HEALTHCARE SERVICES. The keys to success are using vetted, trained and highly qualified Veterans from your community and a linked Service Provider Network.
